Current Fuel Surcharge
CRANDIC changes its fuel surcharge rate each month predicated on market conditions for fuel.
WTI Fuel Surcharge Status
Per CIC Rules Book 6100, the current surcharge effective April 1, 2024 is 22.00 percent. Pending any changes to the supporting data, the fuel surcharge scheduled to become effective May 1, 2024 is 23.60 percent based on the average WTI for March 2024.

HDF Fuel Surcharge Status
Per CIC Mileage-Based Fuel Surcharge Tariff 9015, the current surcharge effective April 1, 2024 is .52 cents per mile. Pending any changes to the supporting data, the fuel surcharge scheduled to become effective May 1, 2024 is .51 cents per mile, based on the average price per gallon for Highway Diesel Fuel (HDF) for March 2024.

Contractor Safety Policy
Safety is the top priority at CRANDIC. Strict adherence to all safety rules is required of all individuals and businesses that are granted access or permission to work on CRANDIC property. Please carefully review our Contractor Safety Policy.
Utility Crossing and Forms
A licensee or its agents, contractors or subcontractors performing activities on CRANDIC right-of-way shall provide to CRANDIC an insurance policy for Railroad Protective Liability Insurance or similar coverage in the amount of two million dollars ($2,000,000).
The licensee as well as any agents, contractors, or subcontractors performing activities on CRANDIC premises shall also maintain commercial general liability insurance coverage throughout the term of this license and any extensions thereof. In addition, such insurance shall contain limits not less than two million dollars ($2,000,000).

The following documents must be filled out and submitted for all underground and overhead crossings:

Crossing fees must be submitted per Chapter 42 requirements.

Rail-to-truck transloading
CRANDIC Rail offers transloading via three transload tracks at Logistics Park Cedar Rapids. The site provides ample space for large truck movement and transloading equipment operations, including cranes, forklifts and conveyors. Self-service or full-service transloading by our on-site material handlers are options. The adjacent warehouse has four railcar bays, 39 sealed loading dock bays and dedicated driver amenities. An on-site truck scale and quick access to HWY I-380 and HWY I-80 also make LPCR an ideal spot for transloading and driver convenience.
